Incorporated in 1894, historic Pitcairn is nestled in the greenery of the Turtle Creek watershed of Allegheny County. Home to 3,200 residents, strong community organizations, and a nationally recognized Police Department, Pitcairn is a part of the award winning Gateway School District with easy access to the City of Pittsburgh, 15 miles to the west.

Community Events
Pitcairn is known for holding community events each year. The Parks and Recreation Board puts on a number of events, including an annual Easter Egg Hunt with family activities, community celebration in Summer, and Harvest Festival with a Halloween Parade.
